The several buses that dad would some how jackknife into our postage stamp back yard by driving them down the alley. The bamboo Tiki master bedroom in the back.

Dad waking up Lanny in that back bedroom on a trip w the bus driving down the highway and Lanny freaking out. Dad had let Monte drive- I think he was 10 at the time. The legend grows.

Dad and Gillan drove the BUS out to Penticton (pretty sure it was Feb or Mar 1972) ... hitchhiked back.

I've noticed a common theme in all that's been written so far ... we all have had guardian angels watching over us, and they've turned out to be us or our close friends. I will spend the rest of my life trying to figure out why Dad brought the BUS for me to live in while in Pentiction. I've often wondered, would I do the same.
It was a great help to me, but I was so irresponsible with it ... but it saved me many nights of sleeping in my car or in a tent (I'm not as drawn to those types of adventures as some of you). Rock and I probably refer to Penticton or "the BUS" weekly, and all our kids know somewhat of what we were doing there. I've had a recurring dream about it for about 3 years and have wanted to go back there by myself and go to where I was and try to accept that part of my life as valuable, having some purpose. Not a mistake. To see the good that may have taken place. I have a vast journal covering 1972-1975. Just a numbers thing of interest … Brenda Browns baby (named Jody Lee) was born March 25,1972, I was ordained an Elder March 25, 1975. For me, Pentiction was timeless. When I did the journal, I couln’t believe it was such a small amount of time … it seemedlike forever … it was ALL of life!
